The weather gods played havoc on the interesting venue in Aberangell for 2nd round of the Welsh Enduro Series. Storm Hannah lashed it down all day Saturday making pracrtice for us a real adventure!
The sun came out on Sunday which was lovely. But not so much lovely for traction. The wet mud of Saturday turned into a peanut butter slip and slide fest making it very hard to stay upright.
It was great fun to have everyone on the team riding with us. A solid crew of 5 riders, meant plenty of banter on the climbs and lots of cheering at the start of stages.
I had a great stage 1 winning it by 3secs but a terrible stage 2 (bike getting caught in a tree! 8 seconds down). An awesome stage 3 winning it by 3 secs, meaning I lost it to Dan by 2 seconds.
But to be honest I was just stoked to ride with my friends and see us all up there on the podium!
Bikes performed perfectly all weekend and rode amazing. These bikes are literally like mini DH rigs!!
Cheers to Kev the mechanic for polishing up the bikes and Louis for the accommodation. Buds for the event. Plus a massive well done to everyone that took part, it was tough out there!!
