DMR Deathgrip – First Look

The Deathgrip. ‘A Grip for the Brave’ is a worthy title for this collaboration between DMR and Brendog. Mixing up the best bits from other grips, with thickness and feel options married to a myriad of colours, this is set to be a classic with a pretty good price point. This is the Deathgrip.

• Lots of colours ( with new ones for 2017 )
• Tapered Core | No need for outer lock ring
• Waffle and Knurl for grip
• Mushroom for comfort
• Available in Thin (ø29.8) or Thick (ø31.3)
• Available in Soft (20A Kraton) or Hard (25A Vexk) for your preference in feel and durability
• Price £16.99

Grips are very personal, but more often than not once you find one that works it goes on ALL your bikes. This was the aim for Brendog with this grip and already it feels at home both on the Enduro bike as well as the DH machine. We have the Soft/Thick combo to ride with this season and so far the combination of comfort and traction is spot on.

One interesting point to note here is the use of a tapered core which means that this is a single ring locking grip which really doesn’t miss the outer locking ring. However you do need to remember that you have to gently knock the grips on your bars when setting up. Keep that mallet handy!

Already covered with grit filled mud, these grips are showing no signs of loosing traction or movement.
