Team Ride It Out at Welsh Champs & Borderline DH rnd 5

It was a memorable weekend for team Ride It Out at the combined events of the Welsh Championships and the Borderline DH series rnd 4 at Revolution bike Park.

Emyr Davies took home the Elite Welsh Champs title and Fastest Time of the Day too.

“As most people who know me will tell you Im a proud Welsh man, so Welsh Champs is always an important event for me. Having Won it in 2015, and missed the event being injured last year, this makes victory taste even sweeter.

I was a bit gutted to flat on my second run, just because the track ran way faster with the mud turned to water, I wanted to see what time I could really do, but luckily my first run time managed to hold up and I took home the jersey and fastest time of the day.
Conditions were hard out there today so well done to everyone who got stuck in!”

Will Hart took the Expert Win at in the non Champs race as well as posting a time that was 2nd fastest overall.

“Even though I’m not Welsh and wasn’t contending for the Welsh Champion tile, the track was too good to not race! On practice day the track was incredibly fast, almost too fast on some sections which made for more than a few wild moments!

Race day came around and the track had turned into a greasy bog after non stop rain! Spike tyres and five layers were required to take on the brutal conditions. I had such a awesome time pinning it in the mud and rain to take the win in Expert and finished 2nd overall on the day! I love bikes!”

Louis Meade just missed out on getting the expert welsh champs title.

“Welsh champs was a fairly big one for me as I won last year and new what it felt like to say your Welsh Champ! The pressure was on, racing at my home turf, Revolution Bike Park where I often ride. Practice went really well, the new turns held up and the track was running amazing thanks to Dave, James and everyone else at Revo. I was stoked to here rain was coming Sunday and sure enough it did, and plenty off it! The Dirty Dan’s came out and with them a big grin on my face, can’t beat ridding revo in the wet!

I crashed in my first run and went for a safety run second, but unfortunately too much off a safety run left me a bit far off the pace and ended up second in Welsh champs. Bike and kit where running amazing all weekend and can’t thank everyone enough who helped out! Well done to the boys Ems and Will smashing it with 1st and 2nd fastest times of the day!”
