Straight from the SDH inbox, for the 2007 season Rowan Sorrell will be racing under the title of South Wales Trail Centres aboard Orange MTBs…
For the 2007 season Rowan Sorrell will be riding Orange Mountain bikes kitted out with Fox suspension and Hope brakes and hubs. Racing under the title of South Wales Trail Centres Rowan has received backing from Skyline cycles and the Drop-off café both in Glyncorrwg, Cwmdown the uplift service located at Cwmcarn and Swift credit services.
The bikes supplied by Orange, a 224, a Patriot and 5 are kitted out with Fox forx and rear shocks as well as Hope’s new line up of super trick brakes to ensure that whether racing or working Rowan will be on the best kit available.
Rowan had this to say about this years deal: ‘I’m really happy with my bikes for 07, I have been using Orange frames, Fox suspension and Hope brakes for some years now and couldn’t really imagine riding anything else as it all performs so well. I’m also excited about the support shown by the South Wales trail centres, I spend a lot of time around these sites riding and working and am grateful of their support and look forward to raising the awareness of these businesses and great places to ride in Wales!’
Rowan will be competing in the National series, the full UCI world cup DH, Dragon DH events and select avalanche events, as well as continuing with his trail building business www.back-on-track.org and running coaching sessions through the summer.
Keep an eye out for the Orange Oranges at the races and the trails!
