Bad luck Alex

Yup NHS is indeed W**K on the whole (I'm sure good people do work there too ;))

Just ask Paul from MSG in Yeovil. He broke a bone in his his leg, NHS failed to pick up on it (twice I think), finally he decides to go for a second opinion in a private place, they xrayed and operated on him there and then! Thats pretty bad. I fact there are so many horror stories I could go on and on! They did give me a sheet of paper with some nice exercises on when I seperated my shoulder so thats good.

Get well soon man, Sarah could possibly help you out if you need it??.....

Is your g/f in the medical profession?

I need to get me a g/f who knows about this stuff!

BTW, in your other thread, I said that if she wants to borrow my Patriot to try it, she's more than welcome.  :)

What sort of exercises did you get to do?

She's a chiropractor (nearly!) Most people think this is only for backs, but shes pretty good with most problems. She sorted a couple of nasty shoulder injuries in france with special taping techniques! However if youre supposed to rest then thats what you should do I guess. I'll ask her when she gets back from climbing.

The exercises, well I lost the bit of paper and went out on my bike instead! (its the best therapy :))
Although my shoulder pops out randomly still, tee hee!

Cheers anyway buddy.

if you complian about the quality of the nhs dont hurt your self by falling off your bike them moning about it for all you know you had to wait due to some nasty rta or somone needing life saving surgery.

and if you really have an opinion about it then you should work there and try to make it better!!
just saying it is w~~nk is not helpfull for anyone.

Well to be fair Al, although you've obviously had some pretty bad experiences, and you are of course entitled to your opinion (and I agree there are loads of probs with and in the NHS) but they do do good, and we'd all moan a lot more if they didn't exist at all. Look at this way - at least you did get treated eventually. I've also suffered loads of pain whilst waiting for attention, but I'm glad I got fixed up in the end. :)

Has to said in the NHS' defence, its not a bad service for free ( or as close to free as possible, the cost to the average tax payer per person per week is measured in pence).

all saying that the NHS isn't too bad and I've had my fair dealling s with them the past year and can't really complain for a free service. last time I heard about a horror story was my uncle who cracked his spine and that wasn't picked up for 10 years but that's about it. There are some bad things though, when things are available privately and not nhs... think those are the things you should be having a go at not something small like breaking a bone. Be glad we have a free srevice unlike opther countries where you have to pay for the smallest thing

I can apprectiate that people may take offence to me saying the NHS is w*nk, but it truely is my feeling to the matter in hand.

I hope that you too can appreciate my opinions of the NHS, as I can appreciate yours.

So appreciate mine and leave it at that, rather than going on about it.

In France you have to pay for almost everything, but believe me when I say that the service is head and shoulders above the NHS in my experience. French ambulances are crap though.

If it wasn't for the NHS Where would you be???

Although you pay with your tax the average NHS worker works for free for at least 3mths!!!

Would you bother?????

I don't think so!!!!!!
