face plant.....

i face planted at local jumps a couple of weeks back turned out like this......

as you can see it was quite sore.

yes i was but it pushed up my head as i hit the floor it protected my head tho....

one of our riders on portland, had a face plant incident a little while ago, he wasnt goona make the landing on a fairly large double so he bailed and hit is knee/shins on the back of the landing and smacked his face on the top. his face exploaded and he had to sit through about  5 hours of gravel swabs on the inside of his bottom lip and his face.

sick as sick gets, my mate had hooked up his front wheel on a bouble and landed on his face/nose ladt friday, he was looking very similar to you, he aslo has one of those nasty face graze's close to his temple, but he wasn't wearing his lid

yeah motocross full face helmets are, but the semi mx is a piss pot type lid.

when i face planted with a full face the chin guard virtually smashed off, but it mainly protected my nose!
