BDS Llangollen race track
« on: May 12, 2014, 22:42 »
Does anyone know which track is to be used for the Llangollen BDS race this year, and are there any videos of it if it's not the same as last year?  The only clips I can find are of the Squirrel but I've heard it said it's going to be another track.

I understand it is the same as the one used for the Nat Champs a couple of years back. Top 1/2 in the trees - very Steep and tech - bottom in the open but only joins the squirrel for the step downs leading into the finich arena.  I'm sure there'll be vids on YouTube and probably here & Dirtmag site if you dig into the archive

Search "national champs track"

It runs down the start of the legendarily steep wooded NPS track, then buggers off to join the almost as steep but wide open BDS track (last used for the borderline in August 2013). It doesn't join any part of the squirrel until the final three stepdowns.

Thanks for the pointers guys - did the trick and now can see what I've let myself in for.  Too late now!  Better get some practice going headfirst down some cliffs...
