Keeping Scar Tissue Supple/Flexible
« on: Sep 12, 2012, 20:54 »
Ok so two weekends ago I crashed at Fort William and came away with a lovely hole below my knee.

Which got stitched in a tidyish "Harry Potter" esque lightning bolt!

.

Anyway it is all healing quite quickly and nicely but there is going to be a healthy scar there and at a point where a bit of movement is going on and susceptable to further crashes. So does anyone have any tips to help keep the scar tissue soft once healed?!

Cheers Chris

Bio oil, and if it gets tight overnight some Vaseline while you sleep.

Yeh Bio Oil is great stuff.  The wife has a bigger scar on her knee, (and a big metal rod down her Tibea!) and she swears by it.
