The fitment of them wheels is Amazingly good! I have to say i am very impressed by it.

i just showed it to my house mate who is after one and he is also very impressed!

It doesnt look like its low enough to cause that many problems either which is a huge bonus!

Hi all, Here is my van, picked her up last year and love it, makes a weekend riding so much easier. Its purely for moving bikes and kit. As both me and the missis ride it seemed an obvious choice.
I upgraded from a nissan 350z which as you can imagine was a logistical nightmare with a bike, I could fit my hardtail in the passenger seat with the wheels in the boot.
Wanted a transporter but it seemed you were paying a premium for the name, so opted for a vito as i could get a similar spec for a few grand cheaper.
I have built a storage stand that i can stand 3 bikes in and with a ratchet strap around the wheels, they ain't moving.
Tempted with a remap at some point but it's just the cost. It's the 150bhp 2.2 diesel and i love it.

and the old car which i miss :'( sad times

Just picked up my T4 Transporter.

Its in pretty good condition, but needs some TLC in a few places. Just getting used to be a Van driver  ;)

I'll try and get some better quality pics up later:

Just a question, I notice a lot of vans these days have alloys but surely low profile tyres have an effect on the safe load carrying capability due to the lower (or unrated) load index?  :-\

Some go for style above safety but you can get plenty of tyres on alloys that are correctly load weighted for the van.  Plenty don't but if PC Plod inspects your van he can legally impound your motor and issue a failure notice,  should also be picked up on the MOT if they're on the ball.

Took the Berlingay on its first trip on Thursday, chugs along nicely and is proving very cheap to run.

Should have some time off in November, to clean it up and do a micro-camper conversion.

Can any of you Transporter T4 people recommend any decent(ish) dash speakers? Standard ones are amazingly bad so the plan is to change them. Anything under about 50 quid, pretty sure they're a 4" speaker? Or so i've been told anyway! Cheers :)

Have a look on ebay. I think they have 115 watt Pioneers on there for about £20.

Best you start saving for a new gearbox soon Rob, I've heard they are made of plastic  :P

Haha.  True.  Although this is a newer one which isn't prone to the problem like the older trafics.

Going to be doing a few things to it, first up is a window tint, graphics and stereo stuff. Then its getting a re map and some new wheels.

Living without a van just wasn't working...    After driving the Audi for a while decided German was the way to go.
