Rob, try and find a narrowboat fitter, they have narrow, thin, waterproof mattresses.

Some really nice vans going on there boys.. This is my T5 and I love it. Been trying to convince the mrs to sell an Audi for a van for about 3 years with no joy.. but she gave in about 3 months ago and even she thinks its great. Its got everything we need to make any journey a pleasure; ceiling mounted drop down dvd player, dash fitted dvd player, digital tv and audio, roof bars, tow bar, major insulation, van-x blinds all around and most importantly chrome side rails  ;) Oh and a rock'n'roll bed! ;D

Needs to be hit with the lowering stick a little and maybe some A4 style headlights  ;)

Its great at event sign-ons when theres a good dvd on the go to get you in the mood!

Mark.

Very nice mcroy. The hosting sit you're using doesn't allow embedding, try photobucket/imageshack/flickr etc

my transit Mk 6 paddle wagon mainly though used once in a while for riding

currant interior set up

hopefully by this summer should be something along the lines of this

back seats fold flat to form bed and base folds out to be double the width just got to weld up the frame and check with dvla

I think iv seen your van before. You on the transit forum? Ex RAC?

I'm building a bed in the back on mine similar to yours, planning to hold tool box, speakers and battery under it. What did you use for a mattress? Most cheap mattresses i can find come up 3foot wide which is much wider than im after.  Been looking around for some sort of foam i can cut but haven't come up with anything yet.

What are you building on the left hand side?
yer its been on the transit forum :)
left hand side is shelf's and stove grill combo got small cupboards sorted and a clever hinged pivot so i can kick the stove out and round so its out the van when the weather's nice
nearly got the alpine unit in now with dvd changer, ipod hook up and a DAB receivers and a nicely sized 4 channel amp and a separate amp for a sub just waiting for another set of 6X9's, some tweeters, a set of 4 inch round mid tones and some noise damping for the doors and fire wall. i don't think Ive got any spare space in the dash any more :/ but is sounds amazing so who cares?

does anyone know somewhere that makes up headlights? I'm after something considerable brighter and hopefully a bit nicer to look at (halo or a propper HID conversion). i was going to get some of a land rover discovery at a local scrap yard then pull them apart and rebuild them into the shape of the transit using the same front lens but anyone know a easier way?
cheers

Wheels are on. Just need to drop the rear and space them out a lil bit then sort a few other little things.

Painted my calipers black rather than red. My VW locking wheel bolt covers dont fit either grrrr
