How to upload pictures. A quick guide.
« on: May 17, 2009, 14:39 »
Countless people on here don't seem to realise how easy it is to upload photos. There are several websites offering free hosting such as Photobucket and Flickr among others.

Also you can add up to 4 pictures on each post you make, max file size per iage is 512KB. These will be hosted on the server and deleted after a reasonably long period of time. You can delete them yourself by editting the post and ticking the "Delete Image" checkbox. So it's easy peasy.

Think of the time you will save by not having to e-mail everyone who says "pics plz to joebloggs@hotmail.com".

So here goes:

Step 1: Sign up/Login to Photobucket/Flickr

Step 2: Upload the pictures you want into your designated album

Step 3: Tag your pictures if you want.

Step 4: Highlight the tagline marked IMG Code

Step 5: Paste it into your post

Step 6: Click "Post" and hey presto images in your post.

Or of course use the "Additional Options" settings just beneath the typing window when you make a post and the pictures will appear at the bottom.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

You can use a site called Imagevenue and you don't need an acocunt. Upload for free instantly and then it gives you a thumbnail clickable link to the original image.

Simple :)
