They stopped making the cro-mo DH bikes in favour of stickering up tiwanese catalogue bikes (a la Azonic). Big shame really, but i guess the profit wasn't in the steel stuff.

as andy says, stopped making steel frames as there wasnt enough demand for steel full sus bikes as the masses always think steel = heavy

Thats a real shame, I had a Chromoeight for a few month until it got nicked and it was amazing to ride. Looks a little bit like scaffolding welded together but was so fun to ride. Seemed to corner amazingly, deffinately wasnt heavy either mine was around the 40lb mark with 888's. Wouldn't mind another one day.

If you find one with a handsprayed red paintjob, and a drilled lower shock plate to accommodate a m6 nyloc nut. Its miiiine, and i would appreciate being informed lol.
Would love to know where it is.

Hmm, the keewee progressor is nearly identical to the Bergamont bigair team.  :-\

Mmm I miss my chromo-8.  SOld it to some German bloke through eBay.  Cornered very well, adn not that heavy, although mine was built up with silly big forks and 24" wheels/3" tyres lol

You are correct. Someone has been ripped off - and as far as we know, action is being taken.
