Electric EG1 MX Goggle Review

Electric Logo

Buying a set of goggles nowadays isn’t as straight forward as it used to be, there are tump loads of options to go with. Fli Distribution’s offering to the table is Electric, and a set arrived at SDH to be put through their paces, that we did, find out more.

You only have to go back a few years and your choice of goggles was limited to pretty much three companies. Smith, Spy and Oakley had the market tapped up. But recently more and more companies and importers have been making their presence known and there are some awesome alternative options out there.

The latest to arrive on the SDH desk (Yes I now have a desk) were sent from the guys over at Fli Distribution and mtb-direct.co.uk. First impressions are key, and these puppies come in a rahter nice presented box, inside you’ll find a nice white google bag, and with Colin Williams in charge probably enough stickers to make a protective film over your bike to protect it on the uplifts.

A pair of goggles though just need to pass a few tests. Do they resist turning into a steam room scene from a dodgy 70’s porno? Are they comfortable? And do the lenses resist scratching easily? The EG-1 MX’s put a swift tick into all the yes boxes for those questions. And if your main concern is looking fly with your goggles on then the limited edition colour models will make sure you stand out from the crowd with 18 designs to choose from.
