DMR VTwin Pedals – First Look

You are not a real mountain biker unless you have felt the grip of a DMR V8 pedal in your shin… for 20 years DMR have owned a piece of mountain biking ( as well as a piece of your skin ) and the new VTWIN pedal is the long awaited latest chapter in that story.

Using the proven SPD platform the VTWIN is a beautifully engineered bit of kit out of the box. Sitting next to a pair of classic DX M647 pedals it is like comparing a B&Q Hacksaw with a STIHL Chainsaw. Both do the job, but one is infinitely superior.

One interesting feature is the ability to add pins as well as change the thickness of the plates on the pedal body. Custom tuning just extended to a new part of the bike.

The local trails are mudfests at the moment, so it will be a solid test of how these cope with the slip and slop on the Saracen Kili Flyer, before being swapped to the Orange 324 for some DH testing later in the Spring.
