Which Knee/shin pads?
« on: Mar 18, 2012, 21:12 »
Hi folks,

Any views on knee/shin pads, want something that will give shin protection as well these are the options I've looked at so far:

troy lee lopes
Nukeproof critical knee/shin
Fox Launch Pro Knee/shin
Poc bone leg (probably out of the question as too expensive)

Would really like something that gives a bit of calf protection as well (like the poc does) as tend to have a habit of catching my pedals on them.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

cheers
Matt

Troy lee combats are ace on my skinny legs! Lopes ones have like a 2 piece design with a soft bit underneath, my brother used them for a while and was impressed.

You should consider the Alpinestars Moab knee/shin pads they're fantastic, I've been using them for about a year now with no complaints and I have a fee spills during that time and my knees and shins are still good
Of course I talk to myself, sometimes I need expert advice!
