Was speaking to Craig at descend hamsterley today and he said he would be more than happy to host the race, even letting us pick the course and possibly make a few new lines. He also showed us the big area at the bottom of all the tracks where people can camp. There's also the option to run a 4x race possibly on the Friday night for anyone who fancies a bash at it if enough people enter.

Will the DH track at Grizedale be ready to ride? There is pretty good XC and probly somewhere to camp close by! It would be nice to keep both events in the same weekend and same place!

Nope. Today was a bank holiday, so if there an announcement to make (which i don't know if there is or not), it wouldn't have been made until at least tomorrow anyway.

No is the simple answer to that

I hate to pester - but it would be great to get some solid information regarding the venue/time or if it's still uncertain, the expected date of information release. I've been following the discussion here and http://www.southerndownhill.com/forum/index.php/topic,257661.30.html and I have to say it doesn't seem certain from the other thread that the event will indeed be on the first weekend of March, especially if the events are split.

I'm just planning our club's events at Bristol and it would be great to know when the venue dates, possible venues and signup deadlines would be. Once again I really appreciate the work put in to organise the BUCS cycling series and appreciate how difficult venue selection is for the mountain bike.
